I’ve got srixon 765 and that gap wedge is 51*. I can’t imagine the 785 is that different.

50* TM3 mill grind is my newest edition. Just got it like a week ago and haven’t gamed it yet. Hit some practice balls in the back yard and man is it spinny. Can’t wait to use it. It’s replacing a 48* SM6

54* SM7 is my go to comfort club inside 100 and around the green.

58* SM7 with a lot of bounce is my go to from the bunker or really fluffy green side chips

Mizuno T20 52, 56, and 60. Love those things. Like all Mizunos, just a beautiful club to look at and stand over. Great feel and spin is a plus.

If you haven’t tinkered with the lofts, I think that’s wrong….I know it is.

Ha. Actually have been thinking about doing this. My wedges are all pretty new, and I’m still trying to get the yardages right.

What I’m saying is you are mistaken about your gap wedge that came with your set, unless you knowingly changed the loft to 49*. The 765 and 785 are both 51*. Might wanna check that out.

This is first time I have heard of Edison wedges. I currently play Volkey. Are they better than the Volkeys

I think Vokeys have 5 grind options and bounces from 4 to 14 degrees.

If you have the money to keep various options available for all possible course conditions, then the Vokey wedges are excellent- especially IF you have a Tour level dime sized wear mark in the center of the face around groove 2.

Edison wedges are designed to be a universal grind/bounce club for golfers whose strike may be high or wide of the Tour dime sized wear mark. Koehler moved weight up behind the higher impact area of many club players. The clubs have odd numbered lofts. Mine are 49,53,57. They come off the face a bit lower, but with really good spin. Hit the 53 from 80 yesterday to 10 feet on my last hole. I bladed the same club on hole 1. Technology can’t help me there. Shot 79!

Was in one bunker. Splashed out to 8 ft.
Hit a short pitch to 4 ft with one and made birdie.

A couple of okayish pitches from inside 30 yards. So Edison are good clubs, but practice and skill development are still the key to any equipment.

Purchased the new Edison 57, 53, 49 wedges. Got them and played a few rounds and was not impressed. The 49 wedge head flew off the shaft during play! Lost 10 yards with the 49 wedge. Not impressed and sent back for refund. My Vokey wedges perform much better.

That is terrible.

Mine have held up so far.

Did they refund all 3?

Their policy is if you order three clubs and if returned they will not charge for one club but will charge $50 dollars a club for restocking. They suggest you try one club only so that the other two will not show wear. Well how in the hell are you to test only one and not see how the other two perform?

When he told me I would be deducted $100 dollar back from the $600+ spent I said I would make sure the golf website I interact with "TD" would be made aware of this policy along with the Cinco Ranch Mens Senior league. He called me back and said since the club head came off of one of the clubs that is a bad look and he would charge me only $50 dollars total.

Sent clubs back last week and called today to see where my refund was and he said he will take care of it tomorrow. He also added that due to the club head issue it's such a bad look they will refund all of my money!

Just passing along my experience! The forged feel felt good but I can work my Vokeys around the greens as well or better. Felt they where not worth the $600 dollars I had spent. By they way I play PXG irons which I got a few months back and love them. My PXG gap wedge fit my iron gap much better.

It took them a minute, but it looks like they did the right thing in the end.

If you are using 3 wedges, which club above that are you not using?

I have 52 & 56, but also an Approach and Pitching wedge... I kinda want a 60 degree and I very rarely use my A... is that the way to go? Or ditch my 5 and use my 4Hydrid in its place?

I recommend measuring the lofts on your irons and wedges. They are often not what the specs say.

My set wedge was supposed to be 45, it was 43, however the gaps were fine- just stronger lofts than stated.

The only one measured that was correct was a 60 which I had bent to 58.

I bought new wedges so Now my wedges are 43,49,53,57
