We should petition that they turn that 699 yard par 5 (hole 13 i think?) into a normal size par 4 and add a full range.

I love that hole. Plus, not sure how you could shoe horn in a driving range in that area.

You could possibly do it if you had nets running down the right side of 18 and the left side of 12. That corridor is bigger than you think. But you couldn't do it without nets.

Impose a new tax to EBR to fund the courses...That is the only way to do it, that is how each course gets their yearly budget.

13 is 699 yards now? Back in the day it was just under 600 yards.
It played longer than 4 which was just over 600 yards because it was a slight dogleg and it’s very soft on the approach down at the bottom of the rise. 13 was a very good test.

They could up the green fee at Beaver to cover it easily.

There were big trees lining the right side of 13 fairway all the way close to 18 tee. I guess many are gone now. That tight dude was tight. The left side wasn’t.

If you a driving range on 13 how would you get ftom 12 green to the new 13 tee which would be close to 12 tee I guess.

They need to stop over seeding in the fall. Takes the Bermuda way too long to fill back in making the greens terrible for the entire spring and into the summer.

I'd start the driving range tee near the green on 12 and run it all the way to the green on 18. Make it deep ish. Then put a huge net down the sides. It is comparable to Greystone size but it would angle in at 250ish to where you could probably get to 300 towards the point. Think triangle range.

You'd also need a net protecting from 10.

You'd play 12 than either back track or go around the range down the right side of 18.

It's feasible but a bad idea. I wouldNt advocate doing it. You don't need a range out there, imo bc you can't fit one.

I’m by no means a longer hitter (250-260 ish carry?).

Today I went driver, 3 wood and still had 70 yards left lol

The tee boxes were sandy and some greens were muddy.

But I know I’m getting that with webb. I thought the fairways were better than what they’ve been since I last played (3 months ago or so).

I agree, it’s doable, but it’s not practical at all.

Way back when I suggested they close the pool, and playground area, fill it in and make a nice high tee box for 10. People laughed but I thought it would give some character to 10.
