What to take out?

I’ve got 1,3,5 wood.
Like them.

Also 4,5 hybrid.

Also 48,52,56 wedges

I think I’m taking 4 hybrid out.

I have basically the same set up as you, and am n the same boat except I carry a 5i not 5h.

I traded my 56 for a 54 and 58 and love it.

It really depends where I am playing. If I know, I'll need that 190 yards shot a lot, I keep the 5i in the bag. If I know I will likely not need it often, I put the 54 in and pull the 5i

My wedges 48, 52, 54, 58

I think to rectify it all, I'll bend my 52 to a 51 and get rid of the 48 or just get a 50 and get rid of the 48 and 52.

I guess what I am saying is: I don't fricking know what I am doing either.

Seems like the 4H and 5W would be redundant.

You playing 6i-pw?

Driver, 3 & 5 woods, 4 & 5 hy, 6i, 7i, 8i, 9i, PW, 48, 52, 56, and putter.

My thoughts are that having a PW and a 48 is essentially the same lofts (maybe 1 - 2 degrees difference) so either do away with 48 and add 60 OR go 50, 55, 60.

Depends on your wedge gaps IMO.

Assuming your irons go all the way to PW, that is 5 wedges.

There has to be a reason to carry a 4h and 5w.

Personally, I'd rather have an option from 185-215 that isn't a fairway wood. I have trouble keeping woods low, especially 5 woods, and especially struggle off the fairway. Essentially, it all comes down to what kind of lie you wind up with.

So the way I would think of it, how often would you need a 60, to do what a 56 cannot, in comparison to ~200 with a bad lie.

What I would do is just put the 60 in the bag as an extra club, and note how often you want to pull iup out compared to the 4h. To me, my 4i gets taken out a lot. I also carry a 60, but I don't have a 51-55 degree club.

how far do you hit each club? What are you wanting to accomplish with the 60 as opposed to your 56?

Did you have these bent, Coach? Specs say that PW is 46° stock. You could put in a 50 and take out the 48.

Say whaaa? Hadnt looked at lofts in a while. Disregard my post OP.

Maybe try to adjust your loft on the 5 wood to split the 4hy gap.

Upon further review, my PW is 46*.

I may put in a 50, but the company that makes my wedges doesn’t make a 50, I’ve never had a set of matching wedges and kind of want to. The stock AW for the 14 Callaway apex pros is a 51, so maybe get a 52 and bend it up to a 51?

ETA: I bought the 52 and will bend it to 51.

We have tons of deep greenside bunkers. When I am short sided, hard to get within 15 feet of hole.

Also would like to pitch over same bunkers with more loft. I currently lay the 56 wide open. When that works, it's lovely. When it does not....ugh.

Unfortunately, I miss a bunch of greens even when I play good for me.

That would, and could, easily be done, coach. I do good to match my socks!

Depending on the bounce on your 56, that could be a big problem that you have laying it open and being consistent with it. a 60 is a great club to have in the bag but you need to look for a redundant yardage gap in your bag to find what to replace it with. if you hit two clubs in your bag a similar distance, one just goes higher than the other I would determine which is more consistent and keep it in and pick up a 60, then swap for the other on another round and try it that way.

Titleist wedge info
OP I just found this site. Titleist gives recommendations on wedge lofts based on your PW loft.
