You think this is a major change?
It allows for potentially, ONE WHOLE LIV PLAYER to get in
Doesn’t even guarantee that. You are such a clown
Even the most ardent LIV bots are pissed on twitter

You two either need to get a job or get a room.

2 next year. 10 into final qualifiers so you will have more qualify that way.
We have no idea what the R&A’s exemption will be for The Open
Here’s that thread if you’d like to revisit - I said Majors would adjust their exemptions to allow more LIV golfers to play LINK

And I said there wouldn’t be major changes like you pointed out
And there clearly hasn’t been

You ready for me to post the opening round ratings for liv tomorrow now that they are on a major sports network? You let bonds and pirate king know they are on the way
Let’s not forget those “awful” Tuesday ratings of 850k for TGL
Surely LIv Thursday will crush that

I don’t expect great numbers in US for their international events. It’s 9:30AM on Friday
It will be on after 9PM the next 3 tournaments. Miami should get better numbers

Are you under the assumption this is a major change? It’s one spot, in which there’s no guarantee it goes to someone who isn’t already qualified for the major.
They’ll adjust as better players become ineligible, but it’s not like they’re going to take Kevin Na’s idea of bringing in all LIV winners from the previous season.

It’s an actual change to their exemption list, so yeah. It will be 2 spots in 2026. The 10 into final qualifying is a big deal too. 3 LIV golfers played their way into US Open last year
Interested to see what The Open does. I always figured it would be top 10 or so from their standings or individual winners.

If the top 3 guys on those lists are already exempt, it’s zero spots

The product is absolute arse. If it wasn't for Tiger and being on ESPN the ratings would be awful. TGL was probably the worst gold production I've ever watched and that's saying something, because I watched that stupid F1/PGA Tour/Vegas thing they did.
Talking about golf ratings in general is kind of dumb because outside of majors, ryder cup and maybe a few other events, Tiger is the only person that moves the needle with golf ratings.
I can't imagine a 9am LIV event getting impressive ratings. But it's bound to be better than what they were getting on CW.

R&A announced an exemption for 1 LIV golfer that’s in top 5 of individual standings after LIV Dallas. They also announced that the International Series Macau will be 1 of 15 events in the Open Qualifying Series
12 LIV golfers already qualified
ETA: everyone in last year’s top 5 in LIV standings were already exempt (16 players qualified in 2024). Sergio was closest not exempt at #7

In addition, the International Series Macau presented by Wynn was named as one of the 15 Open Qualifying Series events that provides an opportunity to earn an exemption. The International Series is a set of 10 elite tournaments sanctioned by the Asian Tour that offers promotion to the LIV Golf League.

Augusta is an invitational. They simply will invite you if they want, just like they did last year with a liv player…. Does flushing it follow golf?
