Uncrowded course on Northshore for tomorrow

I’m looking for an uncrowded course anywhere near Covington that I can play tomorrow after 10:00 am. I don’t really care how goat-ranch it is; just want to play with cart, so that temporarily-crippled (foot surgery) wife (no pics) can be in-tow. Thx in advance

The only public course in that area is Covington CC (It’s good that you’re not worried it’s a goat ranch). Will probably be pretty packed around that time.
You can try Royal or Pinewood in Slidell.

Covington only has 1 public course?

Not many public options. Best bet is Slidell or Springfield.

We're trying that Springview course in Amite tomorrow morning for the first time.
Going in blind having never played it, but they had plenty of tee times available

all courses around here are a slow pace/super busy on weekends. covid golf boom has made those weekend rounds pretty crowded.

Yea Springview At cam2 is a fun course. Good lay out. Small greens especially on front.
Greens not in the best shape right now but they are coming.

Greens are comparable to where Copper Mill was at a few weeks ago when I played there.
But I really enjoyed the layout. I grew up playing in west GA so the hills & terrain were a lot of fun. I'm glad we had a third guy with us who doesn't hit very far. We let him tee off and then had to send him down the fairway to let us know when we could hit lol

CAM2 has come along way, but not my cup of tea. The greens are postage stamps. With that being said, if they could actually have true “greens” with green side bunkers it would be a much more fun course to play.

Oak Harbor would be my rec. Check on Golf Now .com for a deal.

Ended up at Oak Knoll in Hammond. I bounced around various groups, and got in 13 holes before calling it quits. Fun layout, greens in bad shape. Small greens were easy to hit because the ball would plug where it hit.

Got paired with some baws from there yesterday, they kept thinking they were 100+ longer off the tee when they hit it in the hazard than reality

Says a lot about a course when they have their biggest tournament of the year coming up but for 2 months straight all they post about is bar food on their Facebook page.

Front 9 greens are small and tough from what I remember. (I've played it twice). Back 9 greens seemed plenty big enough. Only thing I like about the small greens on the front is the fact that the front 9 is short even from the tips outside of 1 hole, I think maybe #4 or #5 so having more difficult up and downs and approach shots keep scores from getting too low on that side. Again I've only played it twice so I could be wrong in my evaluation.
Edit- Played Beaver Creek last weekend and things seem to be improving there. Solid shape.
