I am so lost. Why is Palmer and Rory cheaper than Brad Faxon?

I think people forget how long Tiger used to be off the tee in his prime and how good Pavin and Seve were with wedges.
i think Faxon and Crenshaw would be a complete waste at $5 dollars. You may putt for dough and drive for show but there is very little difference between these guys on the green in their prime for a scramble.

Faxon and Crenshaw are considered two of the most clutch putters in golf history but there just isn't enough difference between them and anyone else on there to warrant that tag in a scramble.

I think they were thinking people who were experts at one thing should be worth a lot. DJ is $4 as well. But in a scramble, giving yourself 3 good iron players will put you in the best position IMO.
A mediocre putter from 10 feet is much better than a great putter from 15-20 feet.

Fixed it for ya. Prime Jack/Prime Tiger are pretty much interchangeable for the purposes of this exercise

Trevino
Garcia
As somoeone else said, hitting irons close is what scrambles are all about. So Trevino and Sergio give me two of the best ball strikers ever, plus Jack who was stupid long in his prime and one of the greatest clutch putters ever.

Ernie, Johnny and Spieth.
