Said it should take 10-11 months.

But yeah... 2020 at the earliest.

I have never been to one. If I enjoy actual golf will I enjoy this or will this be something that caters to non-golfers?

Will this be good for golf in BR?

Caters to both. You certainly don’t have to be good to enjoy it.

big time. flight restricted balls as well.

pro tip: when the time is running out, wave a club in front of the sensor as many times as possible. you can get out a small-medium bucket worth and keep hitting after the hour has expired.

It’s a game. Not a sport.

Awesome I never thought to do that.

Caters more to non golfers or a big group just having fun. Real golfers will just go to a driving range as it's more convenient and lots cheaper.

I imagine the one in BR will be a much more scaled down version of the real thing.

Groundbreaking now official
quote:

According to a news release, the new venue is slated to open between late 2018 and early 2019. The three-level venue will feature approximately 1,500 square feet of private event space and 72 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at a time.

It's right by where I work. I'm sure that place will be relatively empty on weeknights, so I'll definitely go there once a week or so after work

I got kicked out of the top golf in spring for doing this. I was also hammered and told the worker that told me I couldn’t do it to frick off. So who knows what actually got me kicked out

It will be interesting to see how it compares to the one in Austin. I've heard they're building more scaled down versions in smaller markets.

Either way, it's a fun time with a group, but actual golfers would prob perfer to just go to a driving range.

When I go to TopGolf, I go to hang out, drink, and eat their suprisingly pretty good food. I don't go to work on my swing, of course when I do get up there I send Nitros down the range, but I digress.

Yes, this is a pretty cool venue. I went to the one in Orlando last Thursday nite and it was a great time. As mentioned, the food was pretty good as well as the service...not sure if that will apply to BR? The bar was actually packed with patrons who had no intent of leaving the bar to hit the stalls.

Went to the one in Spring, Tx. a few years ago after playing Tour 18. We were there to see the Champions Tour at the Woodlands. It was a Friday night and the talent that was in there was unbelievable. We didn't hit balls, the line was out the door for a bay. Just got something to eat and drink a few beers while watching TV. I toured each level, and on one they had a party of some sort with a buffet. Walked by like I was a part of the bunch and made a plate. DJ on one floor also. Our waitress was on loan from the Austin one I believe. She was training the staff. Also stayed at our hotel. Saw her the next morning while at the continental breakfast. An OT 7, 9 if hammered.
