It’s intriguing for sure. His game looks good, just a matter of putting it all together for the right week.

I think he’ll win a tourney this year, majors are really tough to win anyway, and doing it for the first time in 10 years will be tough, and it will take 4 great rounds from him, but it is certainly possible

ETA: And you saying that, I think gives a good insight in to the state of his game. I think the Masters is ambitious, just a month ago he was coming off a missed cut with a ton of questions about his game still.

I thought he would in 2013. He had two great chances in 2013 at Augusta and at the Open Championship. Was 2 back headed into the final round at the Open. Phil shot a final round 66 to leap frog 8 players to take the win. 2013 Masters was derailed by Tiger's 15th hole in round 3 when he hit the flag stick, had the ball ricochet into the water, then was assessed a penalty after incorrectly placing his ball 4 yards behind the original spot and signing an incorrect scorecard. That was a 4 shot swing from an almost definite birdie to a triple bogey. He lost by 4 shots. But Tiger was #1 in the world again in 2013, won 5 tournaments, including 2 WGC tournaments.

I think the biggest thing, is that his short game seems back and better than ever. It was cringeworthy to watch him hit chips just a year or 2 ago.

yep, his short game is as good as it's been in years. What was he, 51 for 51 or something like that on putts inside 9 feet this weekend? That's simply amazing.

He's 18th on tour in scrambling right now, but that also includes a missed cut earlier this year. He's also 4th in total putting on the year.

Having the short game click really frees up the rest of your game. He looks like he might be back.

The world needed to see his smile again. He is having fun and playing loose. May not “win” a tournament but will be in competition most times. Too experienced to be fazed.

As far as betting favorite, tiger probably has 95% of all wagers on the masters. If he doesn’t win, Vegas will clean up on $10 souvenir tickets
