Assuming you’re talking about the reported $ players will receive for staying with PGA Tour…. They’re only receiving that much in “equity” of the new PGA Tour Enterprises, it’s not a cash payout.
Tiger $100M
Rory $50M
Spieth $30M
Justin Thomas $30M
Phil would have been 2nd in $ behind Tiger if he would have stayed
Tiger $100M
Rory $50M
Spieth $30M
Justin Thomas $30M

Fifty percent of the money will be vested after four years on Tour. Another 25 percent will be added two years after that and all 100 percent will be vested after eight years. There are a number of factors that determined a players’ worth. Chief among them are the ‘career points’ and how players have fared through the Player Impact Program (PIP). The former is a model that looks at career achievements through the lens of longevity.

The PGA Tour said in a February memo that $930 million in total equity will be distributed to 193 members, per ESPN's Mark Schlabach.
quote:
For now, the 34 top players under Woods and McIlroy will share $75 million in equity. The next 64 players will share $75 million based on their performance over the last three years; 57 golfers holding fully exempt PGA Tour status will split $30 million; and 36 golfers who were "instrumental in building the modern PGA Tour" will divide $75 million in equity, Schlabach reported.
I don’t think that quite adds up to $930M so some of the numbers are probably off. Seems like the 75M to the next top 34 is definitely too small if Spieth & Thomas are getting 30M each

It’s ridiculous that Tiger, who has played less than 1.5 rounds of golf on the PGA Tour this year, gets 100 million. Since he can’t physically play a LIV schedule even if he wanted to, did he really even make a choice?

One could make the argument that Tiger elevated the PGA to where it is now. Deserving of his portion, imo

They are in a competitive business now and paying Tiger at the expense of paying stars who could easily jump to LIV like Aberg, Hovland, Hideki or even Scheffler, Homa, Morikawa, Theegala doesn’t make sense to me. Tiger isn’t going to play more than 2-3 PGA events max a year and probably less and isn’t guest commentating either. He is not driving viewership

I can’t believe I have to post this. But just to let you know, Tiger Woods could also leave the PGA Tour too. LIV would pay him a billion dollars to do it. And it would be the END of the PGA Tour.

The tour took 2/3 of the capital invested to grow the tour and essentially sent out thank you cards with huge checks inside of them to players who helped get them there.
For the future, Scotty, Rory, and Ludvig are more important to PGA tour success than Tiger

Top 36 will split $750M so that’s what was off, that gets the total to $930M.
$100M to Tiger, $50 to Rory, $30 each to Spieth/Thomas….
leaves $540M to split between next 32 guys. Probably all in the range of $10-25M each.

Why are they paying Rory, JT and Spieth more than Scottie? Not going to lie, I'd be pissed if I was Scottie.

Who said that they aren’t? I’m sure Scottie is in the $30M range & he of all people shouldn’t be too worried about it.
I think it’s fair that Rory is 2nd highest paid
