Today is April 1. The Open isn’t until mid-July. Quit trying to race and see who can cancel their events first. It’s okay to slow play this one.

I think we get 4. I bet they start back in mid summer and back load the schedule with Majors.

This Open is 149. If the cancel it, arguably, next year won't be 150 at St. Andrews. It'll be 149. So if they don't play it, the rota may be pushed back a year

Another term we should stop using.

It's the term they use. I don't mind getting rid of "gaming" a set of irons, especially if you are a 14 handicap. But I don't think you can get rid of "rota" when discussing The Open.

Sure you can, use rotation.

I cringe every time I hear Mike Tirico say “The Rota” He didn’t start doing this until a few years ago. We get it Mike, you’ve been to the UK.

Not canceled yet. They have a week to take the September week that was given. If they don’t The US Open will take it.

The problems isn't in slow playing it but with getting the fans to it I'm sure. I think it would actually be great if they put it on and if pros don't show for it, open it up to amateurs again and let the locals be the spectators. They would get a ton of players wanting to play it and let the players sign waivers. Be a throw back to late 1800s and early 1900s.
