Played last week and really hard to find balls in the rough, I’m talking just off the fairway before the cart path, somebody tell them to cut them, other then that the islands in great shape and glad to have the option to play there

There's a direct correlation between Chris Burkstaller's rehiring and the Island basically coming back from the dead.

I noticed that last Friday when I played out there.. On #1 my power fade reared its ugly head and ended up behind those trees on the right.. hit a solid 5 wood back at green and it rolled to the left of the green.. couldn't find it at all.. Then on #4 I hit one that looked like it trickled off close to the cart path.. Couldn't find that thing anywhere.. I was just crazy even though I saw them both land rollout they were just nowhere to be found..

Yeah having strong membership counts right now helps a ton and Burky is the man!!! Awesome combo. Plus dry weather. I’ll check on rough length.

It’s a great track. If you haven’t played it lately. Come out!

Hit the fairway then bubba

But this is true, Im a member and play probably twice a week and with a driver as bad as mine I have the same problems. I don’t think its a problem of the rough being to tall, just a combination of how dry it is due to the recent lack of rain so you really don’t where the ball stops rolling and thick rough.

Yeah the course is really nice.. I just hate losing balls that I should be able to find.. even still only played the front 9 and managed to shoot a 40 even with losing 2

Thanks for the positive thoughts guys and we really appreciate the support. If you haven't checked us out lately yes, it's in good shape, come try it. Greens are back, still getting bunkers in shape and some other loose ends tied up.

Also played last weekend for the first time in a few years; I’m a bad golfer but enjoyed it. The greens were in great shape. Very frustrating to lose several balls in the short rough as several have said. Even when it thought I knew where they were, I couldn’t find them without stepping on them. Yep, I know- keep it in the fairway…

Would love for them to cut the rough a little lower for 2 passes or so off the FWs.

Played again today.. looks like the rough was trimmed a bit lower.. still lost 2 damn balls in rough that I watched land and roll out.. some of it I swear you need to be standing right on top of the ball to find...

Greens we're in nice shape a bit on the softer side and not overly fast by any means.. also I found that there was hardly any break whatsoever on them..

Been really dry and on warm side. Probably watering them and not cutting as low so they don’t lose any of em.

Yes on that! Greens are rolling well though.
