Color me unimpressed. Nicklaus has never been known to make any club worth a crap.

Looks like they are Miura irons with a Nicklaus stamp, not crappy Nicklaus off-brand clubs.

So Miura’s are crap? Hot take.

Really anything Nicklaus has been associated with club making wise hasn’t been good. People are obsessed with blades and think they look pretty and that’s great. Doesn’t change the fact Nicklaus has been a disaster putting his name on any club.

Are they making a 1 iron?

This guy laughs at you shitty take.

First off, none of you probably can or should hit blades. Second, Miura has made a hell of a name of himself and makes very good equipment. 3rd, my take is actually factual. Any equipment Nicklaus has put his name on has been a disaster. This isn’t an opinion. It’s a fact. He’s equipment over the years has been horrible and his sales numbers back that up. So my “take” is actually just me saying what pretty much everyone already knows.

You keep saying it but that doesn’t make it fact. Many of Macgregor’s offerings(one of the top manufacturers in their day) had Jack’s name on em(as I posted above) and they are top quality, beautiful and perform as well as today’s offerings from China.
Keep beating the drum and IMHO, everyone should learn to play with blades. After learning to find the sweet spot on blades, shovels (GI irons) seem silly.

Yes, cause mcgregor irons are alive and well and thriving today right? Do a little google search and learn something. As to hitting blades. About 95% of amateur golfers have no business hitting blades. It isn’t just Blades and GI irons. There are a ton of forged irons out there that most of the pros even use. Blades are for elite golfers and elite shot shaping players. You are or I or any person on this board are not one of them. More golfers on tour play forged cavity backs more so than blades. Why? If you ask them, there’s no need anymore.

Blades (any iron for that matter) should be played by whomever enjoy them. I taught myself to play and all I’ve ever played or felt comfortable playing are blades. If you like the look, feel and performance of whatever style iron you play, who’s to say they are right or wrong.

Miura isn’t going to put out a bad iron. They’ll take the good ideas from Jack and not use the bad ones. In my opinion, they’re batting 1.000 on irons.
And these are gorgeous.
I played MP14s and 33s at various times in my life and might sell my kidney to buy these.

Watch the video by Mark Crossfield comparing mishits between old blades and new tech irons with matching lofts. You might be surprised which iron had more deviation on mishits. There is no technology that is going to save bad strikes.
Everyone wants to push mid-high handicappers towards game improvement irons. But a relevant component is whether or not you feel confident looking down at address. There is something that works for everyone but not a one size fits all answer for all players and handicaps.

I simply don't agree with you on that. I grew up playing blades and have always played blades. I'm not the best ball striker anymore but when I play, I want to enjoy what I am swinging. In my experiences over the years, off center hits with blades might feel like shite but they don't go any shorter than a cavity back iron.
As for Nicklaus' name being on irons, most of the stuff tagged with his name has been trash but the old Muirfield irons and woods were fantastic at the time and the irons are still pretty well caught after.
These irons look similar to the new Miura 001 tournament blades which are great.

Man, people get real defensive about blades. They’re gorgeous and they demand great ball striking. Unfortunately majority of amateur golfers can’t and won’t hit the sweet spot consistently. Why? Cause they don’t have the experience. Some blades these days (Srixon for instance) sale blades and they really imo aren’t a true blade. I don’t think it’s up for a debate but blades are for people who are very good ball strikers who care to shape their shot. If you look at the top 10 or even 20 players in the world majority of them don’t play blades. They played forged cavity backs. They just don’t feel the need to hit them. If you choose to sure. It’s really about confidence to me with any club. But I’ve played a ton of competitive golf with guys who use blades and most of them can’t hit them consistently. If that’s you then good on you.

If I were to buy these blades...it is for collectors item.
I am laughing at you for saying that anything Nicklaus puts his name on is trash...mizuno is correct, when his name was stamped on the McGregor’s...they were considered one of the best irons at that time. Also, Miura Irons are not even trash, there products are the purest clubs out on the market.

I’m not one of the guys who pushes people to play GI irons. If you’re shooting in the 80s consistently then you should probably be playing more or a forged iron. So i agree with this. But, Most amateur golfers are shooting 90-100.

These Nicklaus Miura irons are not going after the mid handicap or higher golfer. Collectors or great golfers are probably going to buy them.

Agreed. They’re freaking gorgeous. I personally am too big of a broke azz to buy these and wouldn’t but people are gonna go crazy for them. I’m not bashing the irons. Just stating anything Nicklaus has done truly off the golf course has been borderline disastrous
