Going to a wedding in bay st louis this weekend and was thinking about playing here for the first time. Anyone know what condition it’s in or if there’s any other nearby courses I should play instead?

Played it last Friday, greens were really spotty, fairways were decent, tee boxes were bad. Can’t speak to the condition of any other courses in the area, but the Oaks is usually in good shape, and Diamondhead is nearby as well.

I haven't made my normal Biloxi round yet but The Oaks is a normal stop for us. Bridges is not a favorite of our group. We normally pick Grand Bear or The Preserve as our top choices.

I need to play the Oaks, Bridges is a decent/goofy layout just never in good condition, Preserve is a great track, I hate Grand Bear, Windance is always in great shape but tough as hell.

Hate The Bear? Any particular reason? I can honestly say I've played it over 30 times and never had a bad experience.

I’ve never had a bad experience, I guess it’s a Nicklaus course that I don’t really care for, kind of like English Turn, it’s in the middle of BFE and there are better options to play on the Ms Gulf Coast imo.

You’d like the Cardinal at Diamondhead.

It doesn’t take 8 hours, but there are a lot olden timers there. Imagine 60-70 guys that look like ole man, and another 20 women who look similar but not as sexy.

I enjoy the track. It's tight with a lot of target golf. Bring extra balls your first go 'round. Hollywood is very generous with free rounds there so I play it very frequently.

Had the same thought, but I think there is a tourney there this weekend.

Windance is a fantastic course. Will eat you alive if you don't strike the ball well and if you strike the ball well and putt poorly you are done too.

I’ve only played the Bridges once, and I think they reversed the 9’s since I’ve played. I enjoyed the old front/new back. Was the first time I broke 40 for 9 holes.
