Water all up the right side and you can not drive past the water. You have traps up the left side from 240 to 320.
Do you hit up the left side with a fade. Or do you take it up the right with a draw into the slope.
No right or wrong answer here. Just want to hear what you would do.
My way is to aim middle of fairway with a draw. I am not a drawer of the ball. So most of the time it will be more straight. Hitting it up the left is an option also for me.
Now if you take this description and flip it. I definitely hit the fade. A draw in my game can possibly overspin and run into water.
I FORGOT the most IMPORTANT THING. ITS #18 and you have to win the hole to break even or you lose 100 bucks on the day.

I aim at the bunkers.
If they are 240 out, I’m safe as I average 225 off tee. I guess I could make it into a 240 bunker on a dry day it’s my best swing, but the percentage play for me is aim at those bunkers. My golf balls don’t float.

I’m aiming at the bunkers and trusting my fade. If it goes straight and I have to play out of the bunker, that’s OK, can’t play out of the pond

Draw into the slope. Since I’m hitting from a different tee than you even if I hit in the bunker I can probably still get there.
Being old has certain advantages when you’re playing for money.
In my younger days though I’d have hit the fade so I can hit 8 or 9 into the green. Even if I hit it in the water I’m still hitting 3 with a club I like my chances with.

Aim between them and try to hit it straight

I’d probably choke up and hit the fairway finder. Even if I have 200 in, I can hit a 5i to the middle and lean on my putter.
