I’m playing the newest version and they are fantastic. Great distance, forgiving and look great. People say the major downside is that you can nuke a shot a club further than expected. My swing speed is on the slower side so that’s not an issue with me. Do yourself a favor and go to a big box store and try them in a simulator.

Great irons especially with the MMT shafts in them.
With that said, I am trading my in for the Srixon X5 irons. Not because of being unhappy with the 790's.
I just love the feel and the performance of the X5's.
At least TaylorMade is going back to a 2 year cycle on clubs now.
