Just saw this place is making a comeback and the resort is set to open early October. One of the owners is George Strait.

Course is open with temporary clubhouse. I am playing there Saturday. Anyone played out here recently?

Played there in May. That is sort of recent. It was in really good shape. I would go back if it wasn’t so far. Greens well maintained, fairways and tee boxes ok.

Just watch out for snakes. I almost stepped on a big rat snake and it scared the shite out of me. I’m sure with all the water they get moccasins and rattle snakes too

it was wasnt la cantera nice, but it was pretty good

Appreciate the response.

Looking forward to getting out there. I have been keeping my head on a swivel for snakes after seeing the bad boy in the picture below earlier this season.

I’d like to go once the resort is open. I played the course years ago and really enjoyed elevation changes. Please report back with an update.

Played there a few weeks ago. Love the track. A lot more target golf. Driver is not needed very much.

Had a blast. Views were great and course for the most part was in good condition.

Some of the houses in the hills surrounding the course are insane.
