I was reflecting on all of our differences in this message board but it’s kind of cool we all like this crazy game. I play solo so I always get paired with someone new and can honestly say that by the end of 18 we are pretty much buds.
So, LIV, Bryson, Rory, etc…
Keep swinging, folks!

Amen.

I am not the golfer that I use to be.

Numerous surgeries and age has dampened my skills, but I love this crazy game and the great people that the game has introduced me to.

I started with message board golf back in the Bombsquad.com days. move on the GolfWrx and here.

I love to talk golf and equipment and I lean something new about it every day.

I still amazed on how Golf brought me so many great friends and how it helped me so much in my business career.

I'm in the Sugarland Tx area, I'm always up for a beer or a round.

Funny enough, I’ve been going the opposite way as of late unfortunately. The more I play with other people, the more I realize I don’t like most golfers out there these days.

Covid brought many to the sport, but etiquette and competence has eroded away as a result. I’ve come to enjoy my rounds alone more and more (and it gives me more time to fix other people’s ballmarks).

There is a lot to like about Sweden's golf model.

The "Green Card" System: To ensure proper etiquette, knowledge, and pacing, new golfers must complete a digital educational platform. This structured learning approach ensures a fundamental understanding of the rules before players hit the main fairways.

Nice positive attitude!

I had a little over a month between grad school and starting work. I decided to go out to City Park and just see if I could play as a single on the old West course. I had never gone golfing without having a friend along. The first day the starter paired me up with this youngish-looking black guy. This was back in the '90s. The guy was nicely dressed, no tats, etc. Turns out that he was 50 years old and a former cop who had just retired from NOPD.

Our games were similar (e.g., long, mostly straight off the tee and with approach shots but horrible pitching and putting). We wound up having a blast. We decided to start playing 3-4 times a week together for the next month before I had to stop to start work. I forget his name but he was a super nice dude and, at least for a month, as you said, we became buds.

Same, i cant understand the amount of golfers who have to play music now. I cringe when I see speakers come out
