Do you baws use your swing path for this or is it all in your hands? Usually I just adjust the stance and come a little more steep on my backswing to fade or power slice. I can play a really good low draw/hook but im having trouble getting the ball up high when I try to draw it. Should I flatten my backswing a little so Im still coming inside out but move the ball further back so I can come down at a more steep angle to get the ball up? Mainly looking for MHD's advice but I guess ill take others as well.

I usually employ all 3 but how to you get the ball up high when you need to play a big draw? I go left off the tees a lot (RH) and need to play a big hook. I usually end up on the right side of the green but I want to keep the ball in the air longer to allow it to move more.

I just try to advance the ball.

However, IF I want a draw, I move ball slightly back, try to swing around more and faster.

For a fade, tee down, shoulder line open and level, swing more upright.

Just open or close your clubface to work the ball properly.

I’m really not sure. My natural shot is a high trajectory.

When I wanna keep the ball low I’ll tee it lower to help hit it lower on the club face.

Here’s 3 shot shapes. This is Hole 1 at AGC. Slight dogleg left. Green is right in line with the cluster of trees. I usually mash a high draw over the trees but on windy days I’ll play a cut/fade around the trees.

I have this part down pat. I can move the ball generally whichever direction I want it. Its just much tougher to get the ball up high when im playing a big draw

My shaping keys are hands and hips. For a fade I make sure to really fire my hips through and hands feel like I’m holding off the face turn. For a draw I hold the hips back just a touch to get a more rounded swing and feel my fight hand pass my left or roll over about two feet after I make contact with the ball in the follow through.

I remember seeing this video from Langer a while back....stance and open/shut club face is all you need to do, while using your exact same swing.

I’m a naturally high ball hitter. When i want to hit it lower i out it back in my stance. It’s hard to say whether it’s stance or swing path that i put more as a priority but my stance determines how hard I’m shaping a shot. My swing path is next pending on my shot of choice. But your flight imo has a lot of factors. Your shaft, your lofts, and where you put the ball. The higher the ball flight the more i put the ball forward.
