I am going to Sea Island this weekend with the family and luckily I get to play Seaside. Was wondering if anyone has been up there and played. I am sure it will be one of the nicest courses I have ever experienced.

Played there end of April. Very nice. Believe it was recently rated 34th nicest in country by golf magazine. I got pissed when my caddie gave me a wrong number and I airmailed the green. Not sure it’s worth the price, but it’s pretty damn good. Just hope the wind is not up.

I have played it and enjoyed the hell out of it.
It's not crazy long for a Tour level course, but watch out if the wind is up. That course can eat you up and spit you out if you get some gusting breeze.

Have been there a few times, most recently last summer. Great resort, although expensive. I actually prefer the Plantation course, but you should play Seaside if you only get one round, since that’s the course you’ll see on TV. (I think they now play both courses before playing Seaside only on the weekend). We used a caddy, but with a yardage book or GPS to know the carries, you’d be okay without. Restaurants are great. Definitely make time to look around and cocktail after the round.

What are you looking for? Both courses are great. The men's locker room is where I would recover after a long night back in college Seaside is definitely the nicer course fwiw. Ask around maybe you can work your way on Frederica. You can drive down to the end of the island and see the gates of ocean forest OF is incredible
Are you staying on sea island or st simons?
