Blame Jim. He brings up liv here. Even in a thread about a driver review there was multiple liv posts and trolling form the LIv guys. It’s how they operate here and on twitter

It’s relevant bc PGA didn’t allow the 22 Players’ champ defend his title bc he went to LIV.
It’s fine if you don’t like LIV, but don’t cry about it every time it gets brought up here. It’s a professional golf league with some of the best golfers in the world.

You knew exactly what you were doing. Cam Smith wasn't trying to defend his title this year, so it was unnecessary to bring up unless you wanted to have another LIV/PGA shitposting fest, which is exactly what you wanted so you posted what you did.

If all you can think about watching what Scheffler did yesterday was about Cam Smith and LIV then you missed out on a great golf tournament.

I'm a fan of LIV, but I don't get this. Why should he have been allowed to defend his title? He left the Tour and took money to play on another tour, why should he be allowed to just play on the PGA Tour when he picks and chooses. You're taking offense over something that even Cam Smith 100% knew he wasn't going to be able to do.
instead of defending his title, he got 100's of millions of dollars. I'm sure he was ok with that. No need for you to be upset for him.

Never said that. I watched yesterday & enjoyed it. Was hoping to see a playoff, but impressive win for Scheffler.
It was just a thought when I heard the announcers say he is the first to defend his title.

Cam isn't the first person not to be able to defend his title or any other golf title for that matter. With other golf tournaments when Tiger was hurt, do we say "so and so only won because Tiger wasn't in the field so there's an asterisk"? No, we don't, so why are you doing that here? What Scottie did has never been done before. That's a fact that doesn't need fricking qualifiers. There's no asterisk. You sound ridiculous

I know he didn't run away with it or anything but Scottie is just on another level right now. If his putting is just above average for the week, he's going to compete for the win every time just based off how good everything else is. Dude is so impressive.

Cam left because he wanted a fat check and to spend more time fishing. He had no interest in defending that title.
If you have a problem with it, take it up with Cam. He knew exactly what he was signing up for and what it would cost.
