Hopefully the course will forgive me... for the language that will use on a regular basis.

Good luck! Played last Tuesday. Started on the back, rounded the turn to one and there were four carts piled up at start, a 4 some on the tee, a foursome in the fairway, and a foursome on the green.

SM is an all time crowded golf course.

Miserable out there, I don’t know how people play it regularly.

I play it regularly; live on #2.

I have not played a round there over 4 hours in 5 years; walked 18 yesterday and finished in 3:45.

The amount of exaggeration of slow play out there is hard to believe.

I don't even live in Louisiana, but I wanted to jump into this. Unless all of your rounds are before 7:30 in the morning, I have a very difficult time believing you haven't had a round over 4 hours on a public course.

It seems unavoidable these days. I played 2pm on a Sunday at High Meadow Ranch outside of Houston this past weekend. I have never had really bad waits there. It took us 5 hours to finish.

It’s just what people notice when they go out there. The slow play might be exaggerated, but it’s not a myth that it’s the most crowded place on earth, especially coming up during the spring.

I usually play from about 1:00 to 5:00, albeit not often on weekends. I used to play most Sunday afternoons and even then, most rounds were 4 hours or under.

I do agree it is very crowded. And BREC refuses to give it a day of rest like a good golf course needs.

Makes sense, I was mainly talking about weekend rounds.

I love the course but we cant ever play it under 4 hours for some reason.
