If burns had hit that shot the first couple of playoff holes he wins. Thats going to haunt him.

I’m guessing he was hoping that Fox would mess up a shot. Definitely will bite him in the arse

Fox messed up plenty, but burns missed the green from 75 yards.

Watching that just blows my mind. Outside of Fox’s dead on approach. They looked like a couple dinguses at the local muni battling over a few dollar skins game

Yeah, that 2nd shot on last playoff hole was clutch. Kudos to Fox, & his 2nd victory this season.

Burns sure does miss a lot of short ones under pressure

He made a bunch to shoot 62, and be clubhouse leader. Kudos to Fox for getting into playoff & prevailing

That 1st playoff hole miss is the one that will haunt him. Sam is a top 5 putter on tour and I would have bet he knocks that down every time.

They said he was number one on tour this year. I assume that is because his iron play has been so bad.

Dude finished 2 hours before the leaders. He wasn’t under much pressure because none of those putts were to win

Anybody that has paid attention to Burns career should recognize this as an unfortunate pattern.

He hasn’t won a tournament since 2023, so yeah, he probably feels pressure to win. Plus, that particular tournament is sponsored by RBC, one of his main sponsors.
But I do agree that it is tough to win on tour, or everyone would do it. Sundays make every hole in their game bigger…

Kind of disagree here. Sure he missed a short one to extend it but he shouldn't have even been in the playoff in the first place. Dude had a hell of a Sunday and went four playoff holes. It's not like that putt was for the win it would have only extended it.

I think he's talking about the 5 footer for birdie and the win he missed the first playoff hole.
