Sam finished +10 today with 2 triples and a double. Is he hurt? He was +14 for the tournament. Sorry to see that. Won't be playing the weekend.

I wish he was playing baseball today. 2 triples and a double would be a pretty good day.

Some guys don't perform well on courses that aren't exquisitely manicured

Golf is a funny game. Cant to anything wrong one day, just a bit off the next.

Been there, done that, not on professional level but it happens to them too.

He seems to be a player that excels on easy courses and struggles on hard courses relative to the competition. If the winning score is -25, he’s usually in the hunt.

Just one of those days for Burns

I’m 6.8 handicap…but my scoring average is 84.3

I can go out and shoot 75 on a great day….would be like a pro shooting a 63-64
I can also fire a 94, like yesterday, it would be like a pro shooting an 80
It happens and they’re pros!!
I just remind myself that I’m not on crap days lol

Gonna lose that one.

Sam doesn’t same to play within himself sometimes. His bogeys outnumber his birdies , when par would have been acceptable.
He’s a much better player than what he showed in round 2 .

Innisbrook (Valspar) is ranked as the 4th hardest course on the tour rotation.

Hardest Courses

Sam does well there and has won 2 of the last 3. He was 6th at -5. Winning score was -10.
Not sure if he is injured, but there doesn't seem to be a real reason for his erratic play.
I will always cheer for him, or any LSU golfer.

He was bottom 10 of the week in approach so he wasn’t hitting his irons well. He is also not use to this type of rough and was second to last in around the green stats. Just an off week.

Think he may be dealing with a little back injury as well
