I honestly believe you.

I think Carter lost like 400 something trees on the grounds? Plus damage to the clubhouse. And yet they were back open first part of October.

We were given comment cards at LaTour to fill out and rate each hole on a 1-5 scale so they "knew where to improve" prior to August 5th. Everyone's comments were all bunkers and rough related.

I live in Denham so it was a little ride for us to get down there. Hopefully everything works out for the best for those of y'all closer to it. I frequent Carter/Greystone/U-Club quite a bit, and can say hands down LaTour's greens are better than all of them. They're pure

I’d rather be kicked in the nuts than play golf in Matthews, LA.

seemed like an alright guy minus all the Ole Miss shite he was wearing

His kid is on the football team there now I haven’t played it in several months and it was front only twice. The tips are always fun there idgaf who owns the place or what type of shape it’s in, In the end it is a really good golf course that cost a lot of money to build in the middle of a cane field.

I miss the OG ribeye poboy and 12:15 golf now hot deals for $15 bucks

Unfortunately it will never be the same and it will never be in the same condition it once was back in the day.

Must’ve been the same attitude you had in Patterson, what with the waist high weeds in bunkers

Lol yeah I was told this was his 3rd school in the last 3-4 years or so? A comment was made that the donations that were once going to LSU were now going to Oxford. Trey also had a bunch of Clemson stuff in his house as well but I didn't understand the connection there.

Glad you posted that pic of Patterson. We were talking about it on the way home and was unsure if it was still even open

That's sad about Atchafalaya. Is every green that terrible? I always loved the layout and probably played it a year ago and it always seemed to be in decent shape. Why/How has it gotten to this level?

We had one person in our group who had played before, and said wholeheartedly that Carter Plantation took more damage from Ida.

Again, I had never seen it before yesterday, but given how wide open it is, I find the unplayable angle sketchy at best. I mean I guess if you just don't fire up the mowers, it's unplayable?

clearly you have no idea ehat you are taking about. its more than mowing grass, especially when the whole dam maintenance barn is gone. No power means no irrigation. No housing for staff = No staff to mow that grass. all chemicals and fertilizer gone, spray rig damaged, etc..., plus cleanup. Flooded areas that take forever to drain, native soil that is heavy and holds water. disease issues on the turf, insect damage that time of year. Just because it is very open with little trees, doesn't mean shite.

It’s a hazard, don’t hit it in the hazard.
