His attitude and takes on things are refreshing. I didn't really like him when he started, but starting to come around on him.

When he hit his iron on 16 or 17 (long par 3) at Bellerive two years year *DEAD arse STRAIGHT* to 10 feet while Tiger was charging on Sunday made me realize just how good this dude really is.

He’s trying to hard. Wearing a $990 tank top in the first picture. Didn’t read.

That was a pretty good article. I don't really follow many golfers specifically, but I find myself always drawn to BK. Has to be something about breaking down some of those stereotypical golf "rules" that he mentions in that article

I agree. I like how he basically shits on old school country club stereotypes. Pretty crazy to think certain clubs would have the nerve to tell him to tuck his shirt in while practicing

It’s a fricking photo shoot for a GQ article boomer

I wasn’t fond of Brooks at first but really like him now. His attitude especially with regards to practice and the majors is awesome. He reminds me of Ricky with the style except he can actually fricking win

I…couldn't agree more. I knew, before spending time with Brooks, that Trump had been chasing him, trying to get a round on the books. And I dreaded, for much of our time together, that Brooks might say something a little MAGA-ish, a little ink in the drinking water.

He couldn’t agree more with trump about Koepka. Yet he was afraid of Koepka saying something that supported trump?

What a dipshit. Why include that in an otherwise good article?

Article opens on how BK hit into the water on 12 at Augusta last year, and because he didn’t give anything away visually, it showed how tough he was. Blowhard.

He took flak last season for dropping weight for seemingly no reason in the months leading up to the Masters. (It turned out he was prepping for a nude shoot for the ESPN Body Issue.)

He wasn't perceived as interesting, he felt, because no reporter had ever asked him an interesting question.

Well GQ is a very left-wing publication so it makes sense

I used to be a big Brooks fan, back in his underdog days, but as of late he's been trying wayyy too hard to be the guy who doesn't give a frick, hates golf and thinks everyone on tour is lame and geeky. I was on board with that message early on but he's taken it a little too far now to where it just seems fake.

If he genuinely practiced what he preached he never would've been grinding his arse off on the opposite side of the planet trying to earn his way onto the PGA tour.

I just think it's a tired act already, he kinda ruined it. That being said, I'll still be rooting for him in majors.

All of this.... except the last sentence. I no longer pull for him.

And he is one of the best golfers in the planet, so he can tell them to frick off.

Brooks is the man. He’s by far my favorite golfer on tour. I hope he continues to just win majors. It’s driving old guard golf insane, and I love it.

I will never understand people who are successful in and enriched by a profession, that shite all over the very thing that makes them rich and successful. I like BKs game, power, dominance, etc. but come on dude. You play a sport that is abnormally steeped in and governed by tradition, rules, decorum, etiquette, etc. Why bitch about it or try to shake up its culture? Those things you’re railing against are the very things that make it what it is. And you’ve made a tremendous living from it. So why rail against it?

In an era where “trashy” is pervasive and epidemic, you are trying to marginalize- if not outright change- something that makes your profession unique and enviable. And turn it into something closer to “trashy”? What is wrong with you?
