I have very sensitive eyes and will be flat out miserable if I'm out in the bright sun without shades. I have been told about the taking them off to putt thing but to me that makes things worse. I find that I squint way too hard from the light change and can barely see anything. Having a pair that is comfortable and clear is most important for me. I recently read up on the Electric Zombie sport in Golf Digest. I like the look and they had good reviews but were ultimately too pricey. However several targeted emails later I found they were having a 50% off sale for Military, Police and Medical personnel so I grabbed a pair. Only played two rounds in them thus far but as of now I'm pleased with them.

I have to play with sunglasses as my eyes are super sensitive to any amount of light. Just go to your local PGA superstore, Golf Galaxy, etc, and try as many pairs until you get the right fit/feel. After you find the right pair, you won't be able to play without them. Just my .02...

I would highly recommend sunglass frames with Transitions lenses. Avoid polarized if possible.

My eyes are sensitive to light and I have actually wear glasses daily, so I wear sunglasses almost every time I play unless it is really overcast then I wear normal glasses. I have a pair of Oakley Holbrooks with prescription lenses non-polarized.
After my next eye exam I am going to get some Oakley's with prizm lenses made for golf.

Mingo I think you've got a raging case of little man's disease. Anyone who's played the game as long as i have has hit drives over 300 plenty of times.
