Is anyone a member of Pine Forest in Houston? Just moved out to Spring Branch and looking for somewhere to join.

Not a member but I looked at the club and played the course before joining Black Hawk CC. It's a great club and fun course. I am sure that you will like it there.

I looked into it as well. Shoot me an email if you want the information pamphlet.

I'm a member. Did you have any specific questions?

Started the same thread a few months back that had some responses. I’ve thought about it but haven’t pulled the trigger. Get the emails every month around this time saying that applications for this month are due today.

Didn’t really have specific questions. I’m looking for a nice club that I could join that would be easy to get a round in or 9 holes after work or on a weekend without having to deal with public course bs.
Is it usually packed on weekends?

No, there are morning games that go off, but it’s not loaded up. The benefit of having 27 holes is huge, especially for just playing a few holes during the week

That’s great to hear. Thanks for that info!

Riverbend is also a good option. From I-10/BW8 probably about the same distance as PF.

I am not a member but Pine Forest is a great club and course, you can't go wrong.
I also second, Riverbend in Sugarland as a great course and club. It is a course that will make you use every club in your bag and will make you a better player.
LSUDoc, I played Blackhawk last weekend it's in good shape. I have never played that course when the wind wasn't in you face on #18 LOL

Are you a member there? Have an info you could send me? If not, no worries. I can always email the club

17 and 18 are tough when the wind is in your face.

Yes, but I do not have the current membership info. If you end up going out for a round I'd be glad to join you.
I would email Tricia and she will help you out. She'd be happy to host you for a preview round. They might allow a free 1-month trial membership (you pay for usage - carts, food/bev, etc - but no dues).

I am 33 and pay ~$385/month. I don't know where initiation is right now but last I heard was $500 for a junior. They have several tiers of junior membership and also an equity/non-equity option, so YMMV.
