They haven’t made a dent into being a reputable main steam golf tour

I’m sorry but the whole “exhibition league” narrative is old and laughable even to most PGAT fanboys

Once again you can stomp your feet, get mad, and call everyone pga tour fanboys. It changes nothing

LIv simply has not set root at all with any real fan support or interest. Signing great players isn’t changing anything

And I’m not really making fun of LIV here. Break away leagues have never worked in any real sport. LIV has to tie into the pga tour if they actually want to have any success

Why in the world do you think Yasir and PIF ever even started conversations with the tour? And why is Jay still having conversations with PIF? Golf can’t have any success divided. The tour will run out of money with divided golf. LIv won’t have any success with divided golf. They need each other

If either sides fans can’t admit the above they are completely irrational

Any of you supporting PIF need to get your heads checked

I’ll never understand American golf fans openly rooting for LIV and the demise of the PGA Tour.

To me, it feels that people who are supporting LIV are mostly doing it as contrarians. Not saying they don’t believe it, but I feel like this as people tend to have a contrarian nature.

People are going to point out this week how much juice the Players as lost and that’s why LIV as good. If anything, it actually proves our point as to how LIV has hurt golf fans.

LIV has been good for rich players to get even richer, and golf fans in Australia. I don’t think the PIF feels like they’re at any place to ignore the PGA Tour.

I don't know where this international golf fiasco is headed, but I think I speak for all of us when I wish for the Rangegoats to stay united through the turmoil. Also, who exactly is Ludvig Aberg and can anyone speak his last name with complete confidence?

THIS is what the monied powerbrokers of golf have made for us. Well done.

Pretty simple for me - a lot of the golfers that I am a fan of went to LIV. Rahm, Cam Smith, Bryson, Brooks, Niemann, Phil, etc

I still like watching Spieth, Scheffler, Burns, etc but I don’t watch them as much now

To your point of being a contrarian, I do like the idea of a different type of tournament with a team aspect. I probably would have liked the idea if the PGA Tour came up with it first.

Reminder that LIV did not ban their players from playing this weekend. DJ, Brooks, Rahm, Bryson, Cam, etc are all available if they weren’t banned by PGA

I’m sure that they’d want to go back to back to back weekends in Jeddah, Hong Kong, and Ponta Vedra (they are required to play in LIV tourneys.)

I want those guys back in the Players, but the PGA also has to protect itself from guys just bolting for LIV if they can play both Tours without at least having some qualifiers in place (I’m sure that’s what they’re negotiating now).

Rahm, Koepka, Dechambeau, Cam, Phil, DJ, Niemann, & Hatton all qualified with exemptions to play in The Players.

LIV scheduled their season around events their golfers are allowed to play in. If they would have known ahead of time, I’m sure they could have adjusted their schedule to allow them more time between Hong Kong & Players.

I’m sure Cam Smith & Brooks are in Florida this weekend
