I’m going out there in September and have 6 people. Does anyone have a recommendation for an AirBnb or condo they have used before? Staying 4 nights and playing PB, Spygass and a few others. It’s hard to tell exactly where some of these are located as ABNB does not list the address.

TIA

Do you want to stay inside the 17 mike loop? There are several hotels off 1 and things get a little cheaper.

Pretty sure if you’re not staying on site at PB, you can only book a tee time 24 hours in advance....good luck.

I stayed in an Airbnb in Pacific Grovr near Lover's Point. Definitely true you can only book PB 24 hrs ahead. I feel lucky I was able to get on

Didn’t know that, I played there about 5 years ago but we did stay on site for 2 nights. That may screw up my plans. How was the Airbnb at Pacific Grove? Good views, close to ocean?

Just checked and neither PB or Spyglass Hill have availability the days I am there even if I stayed on site. Any of you gentlemen played any other courses in the area? Which would you recommend?

Back 9 at Pacific Grove is more scenic than Pebble

Poppy Hills is always playable for mid hdcpers

I’ve played Spanish Bay every time I played Pebble. It’s quirky and more difficult than Pebble, IMO

Thanks for the info. I just looked up Spanish Hills and it looks great. Do you have to stay on site to play there?

Spanish Bay is great, poppy hills is fun. PG is short and fun to gaze at the ocean but not a good course. Bayonet and Blackhorse in seaside on the old fort ord are worth the trip and a couple of courses in Carmel Valley are nice too. I lived there a couple of years and as soon as I win the lottery we are moving back

I booked a tee time at Spanish Bay. pebble and Spy Glass both have tournaments that week. Guess I will have to go back.

We are going to visit our daughter in California so no big deal. We will get back there in the spring.

In that case, Spanish bay is still a treat. Nothing compares to that Pebble walk.

I’d recommend staying at Casa Palmero a few nights. Excellent accommodations.

I was in Carmel last month for a week long trip and we stayed at the Wayside Inn. It’s a “boutique” hotel in downtown Carmel that’s about a half mile from the beach. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play a round while we were up there but I did pop the question to the future Mrs. OldReaux at Spyglass.
