Agreed. I remember PR for dominating Ryder Cups and letting his wife carry his bag early in his career.

Didn’t see the actual moment, but the talk shows on PGA radio yesterday afternoon were in melt mode over it. If nothing else, PR has given all the talking heads something to fuss about.

You don't know that. You assume if he had to play it from the bad lie, it only cost him a shot. You're probably right. But we will never know.

Most will trust just about anyone BUT Patrick Reed.

Don’t care...

He used the rule to his advantage, just like Rory.

Fat Pat is a hell of a golfer and I love he pisses off the haters. Can’t wait to see him in the Ryder Cup this year and would not shock me he wins a major this year as well.

So you openly admit to being a cheater?

I just don't understand where the passion comes from on Reed's reputation. The players are the only people who could possibly have enough information to form an opinion.

It generates clicks so the media is going to play it up to drive traffic.

Given Reed's history and reputation, he SHOULD NEVER make such a call all by himself.

Hey guys, my ball is in standing water, can you come across the fairway and let me know it you accent the my decision, one which all other players on tour are available to make on their own.

Rory just answered a question during his press conference for the Waste Management. He said he questioned if he did the right thing because he saw his ball bounce. But he got an email Monday saying that a volunteer stepped on it which caused his to create the divot/pitch. So he actually took the WRONG/WORSE relief because he could have placed it. This is a guy who questions himself because he saw the bounce, a bounce that DIDN'T cause it to plug... while Reed is certain he did it perfectly. This is why we are where we are regarding Reed.

let's not loose the fact that Fatrick had is had in the rough longer than Rory. slightly laying your hand on high grass to lay it down on the side of the ball, one call quickly deduce if a ball is plugged.
Especially in those conditions that the players were playing in at the Farmers.

Saw a comment in here regarding the distance from where the ball first landed to where it came to rest. It's absurd to think it was only 11" away from the initial impact.

With Fatrick's reputation, he should've let the official decide if it was plugged. That would've negated everything.
