Recently, I've been getting knee pain and stiffness after a round of golf in my leading leg. Its been killing me. Anyone else struggle with this, or know if its a sign that I am doing something I shouldn't be?

Just be happy it is isolated to your knee. Some have arthritis all over their body.

My counsel - go get the knee checked out ASAP and don’t let the damage get worse.

My fricking knee locked up on me last weekend. I was +2 on 13 tee box and it locked up. I played the rest of the round on basically 1 leg. I have no clue what my final score was. That night it released. I’ve got an appt with the ortho to scope it.

Getting older is a bitch, and is definitely harder than it looks. Fortunately, we have access to Blue Emu. That, and Alleve works for me. And, you wont stink...

I've got issues with the right knee from the HS football days many years ago.

I had to give up playing about 10 years ago because of lower back issues. I wasn't going to go through the Tiger surgery.

Are you fat? If so, lose some weight. You’d be amazed at how many health concerns dissapear when you stop being a lard arse.

Just play from 100 yds in then. I’ve hurt my back, once, but it didn’t keep me from hitting shots around the green. Or putting. If you love golf, you find a way, mate.

Golf be like.....

If you played football and other sports all the time when young, you will have some knee and ankle issues as you age. If lucky though it won't get to the point of stopping you from enjoying golf. When I get up in the morning everything cracks and makes noise until I move around for a while. Alleve and Tiger Balm are a necessity before doing anything athletic these days.

Take glucosamine and chondroitin joint supplement. It was difficult to stand up after squatting to read a putt. Now I can pop right up. It really helped out.
My doctor recommended it. (He used to be LSU's team doctor).
