Only 4 players in the top 30 on data golf who are on LIV. Rahm, Tyrrell, Bryson, and Jaco. For those not familiar with DataGolf it is a ranking system that ranks pro and am golfers based on very objective statistics of tournament golf. Now I agree, these four golfers would be a huge addition back to the PGA Tour and it needs to happen, but I think it would be a stretch to say there is no real competition on the PGA tour

Really?? Most people like a dominant player. Look at Tiger & Phil, also look at the reactions to Scottie & Nelly Korda's 2024 seasons.

People watch when those guys play, because every time they tee it up they're watching what will eventually become some of golf's finest history. And people know that when they're gone, that's it, it becomes "I remember"

Nobody's tuning in for 36 year old chumps with 2 career wins.

So far, it seems from my perspective that young players headed up are on the PGA Tour, older players going down are more prominent in liv.

Not really. There's a lot of good younger players on LIV. Just because you haven't heard of some because of the near media blackout doesn't mean they're not good. The retirement tour narrative is tired and easily disproved.

Cam Smith
Munoz
Burmester
Gooch
Rahm
Koepka
DeChambeau
Niemann
Pieters
Reed
Meronk
Ancer
Campbell
Puig
Hatton
McKibbin
Surratt

Eh, I wouldn’t consider all of the names you included as young guys.

It’s particularly the young international guys choosing LIV, although there is Surratt & Ogletree.

McKibbin & Jang just chose LIV over PGA Tour (muh guaranteed $)

Puig has done great on LIV & deserves to be playing in Majors. Up to #36 on datagolf (89 OWGR). Funny how it didn’t work out for his former teammate Chacarra

Plenty of competitive guys still on PGA, but a lot less notable names.
I thought the leaderboard at Players was pretty boring, but Hoge, Bhatia, Glover, Conners, Macintyre, Thompson, McCarthy, etc are all solid players too currently
