Those are some old technology. You’d be amazed how much more forgiving newer irons are. Find a local big box golf store and try some irons in the hitting bays to compare your numbers.

So in my very old Mizuno T zoids I hit 8 iron 150. What do you think the difference is with new tech.

Most newer clubs are “stronger “ and much more forgiving. For instance, the 245s give more distance and tighter dispersion. Best of both worlds. Stronger clubs are kinda like an 8 iron giving you 7 iron distance.

I bought a set of Ping G430 last summer. Probably buying the new Cobra driver this year. Other than that, I’m all good

Did my annual bag purge and excited to try out some new stuff. Swapped some Honma TR21X irons for a set of Ping I59s. Trying out some Caley wedges from Scotland.

Currently on my 3rd stint with the Jailbird putters. Went with the Mini DB this time. Despite its looks, damn thing rolls the ball straight and true. Might be time for finally move away from the plumber neck blades I’ve always used

I currently have a Qi10 driver and am extremely happy with it, so I have no justification for spending $600+ on a new driver. But man oh man do those new Qi35 drivers look sweet

I'll wait until OCC demo day in March to test one out. Don't think I would get any numbers improvement as I am fitted for my Qi10 head/shaft combo and it is one of the longest, straightest, and most consistent drivers I've ever had. I won't change it unless it cracks.

I just love the way they made the 35 look.

Yea- but more importantly, will the face stay glued on?

Don’t worry about the face imo. If you like it keep playing it. I’m playing a stealth 2 10.5 with a misubishi diamana stiff flex shaft. I’ve probably hit 1200 range balls at Santa Maria and the club looks and works good as new??

Let's get some more action in this thread as new releases are coming.

What have people already hit/tested?

Srixons new iron line is looking great. People talking about their driver as well.

Mizuno's new irons too.

Anyone have eyes on anything else?

Cleveland just released their new RTZ Wedges and offered free custom paint fill, stampings and ferrules. Went ahead and ordered 3 wedges but I still haven’t received shipping info. Website went live on Jan 9th and the wedges were available online and in store on Jan 17th. Hoping to get them by the end of the month.

Bought 3 Edison Wedges (51, 55, 59). Now that the PING 440’s are out, hoping the 430s drop in price and I might pick up the 430 MAX 10K. MIzuno 230 MAX received great reviews and it’s less expensive.
New Mizuno S3s are probably too good for my game.

How do you like the Edison wedges?
I am still getting used to the yardages and feel. Like them, but I am not getting distance that I hoped.
Different weight (heavier then my Mizuno wedges), so just need some more rounds to dial them in.

I love the 51,55 and 59. Very responsive from 110 yds in.
I struggle with distance on the 45.
Sometimes I can hit it 120 and others time struggle to get 100 yds out of it.
5 index for reference

the 51,55 and 59.

I have the same lofts. Was hoping for 60-70ish for the 59, 90-100 for the 55, and 105-110 for the 51. My last round was closer to those numbers. I have only had them in play for two rounds, so still feeling them out. So far the Edison grinds have been great. Good of tight lies, sand, and fluff.
