I just don't like they would count it as a win on tour when you didn't actually win a tournament on tour, you just won a contest over an entire season of tournaments. I agree with the poster that said you can still make the necessary changes and have both a Tour Championship winner and a FedEx Cup winner.

Did a little side by side comparison of the Tour Championship and FedEx cup with next years rules applied for shits and giggles...
Here is how the top few names would have finished...
ROSE -8 + -6 = -14
DJ -6 + -7 = -13
TIGER -2 + -11 = -13
HORSCHEL -4 + -9 = -13
DECHAMBEAU -10 + -1 = -11
I didn't run all of the players out but these would give you a good idea of what next year's will look like.
Here is how the top few names would have finished...

Tiger let off the gas by the 7th hole, too. He stopped going at flags and just went middle green on most of the holes.

instead of just seeing red or green number(not knowing the formula/calculation involved), we'll see it in relation to par, much easier for fans to follow how far back someone is in relation to top spot

I definitely agree that my simulation is difficult because it totally takes away the score as it relates to winning.
Tiger knew he had a comfortable lead so he coasted a bit... if Rose was sitting at -14 Tiger likely would have played the last 7-8 holes differently.
But I thought it was interesting to look at it.
