No reason to ever hit a stinger off a tee. It looks good on TikTok sure but very rarely useful.

Come play in North Texas and you will quickly see how useful this shot is off the tee

My advice is to try and hit the ball really high on purpose. I’ve found every time I do that, guaranteed stinger

There are days in Texas where it’s the only shot you can play off the tee

Yes they are fitted.

That is a good start. I couldn't keep a damn thing down until I had proper fitted clubs. The only success I have is just slowing the swing down which means losing some distance but it does keep it nice and low.

I would suggest shortening your backswing at the range until he finds the right attack angle to flush the ball

I Place the ball a little further back and put a little more weight on my left side at address. During rotation I try to keep my weight more on my left side as well. At impact I Try to keep my right shoulder “higher”. This will allow you to come down a little steeper during contact. In terms of off the tee I tee it up lower.

This thread got my to try some on the range yesterday. For me it was all how I finished with my hands and ball placement was less critical. It was mostly feel so hard to really explain in here. Using a utility 3i. We have a ton of trees on our course and need to utilize this shot more playing from them like I usually am…
