Reading about the DJ driver search got me thinking. Would it be golf legal to carry multiple heads in a your bag? Would that count against 14? Yeah, I think I know the answer, but could you ever see that option in your game? High-launch head, draw-bias head, whatever you might need.
Just curious.

You can't change the head during the round, but yes you can carry another head in your bag if you don't put it in play.

Phil played 2 drivers in a tournament.
Maybe a Master's that he won?

two fully built drivers, not interchanging heads between holes

You're not even allowed to change driver settings during a round, are you?

Phil did it at the Bellsouth Classic in 2006. My first PGA Event. He shot -28 under that week lol

That's what I had meant. It's an interesting idea which obviously worked out for him.

Yeah he one was a draw driver and the other was a fade. It actually worked for him. He won the PGA this year hitting a 5.5 degree driver.

Tony has power. I've seen him break 200+ mph ball speeds on IG

You can only replace your driver if it damaged in the course of competition, i.e., the face cracking from contact. Not if you slam it against the tee marker.

Then the club would have to be put together in the clubhouse or locker room. Cannot be put together on the course. This got Harold Varner 2 shots earlier this year. Can't adjust the driver on the course.
