Most overlooked new rule

I have already seen two instances of penalty strokes given to tour pros for having their caddie standing behind the player as he takes his stance .
If I am a pro caddy and what I have seen from tour caddies over the years, caddy stands with player 10 ft behind the ball looking down the line while shot is decided.
Caddy must now move off that position before player takes a stance. It is almost like making some players change their pre shot routine.
There will be issues going forward IMHO

I put as much blame on the player as I do the caddie. It's a very simple rule to comply with. GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE I TAKE MY STANCE AT ADDRESS.

Agree and understand this part.
But McCarthy got penalized today for doing it on a practice swing. He backed away, and then approached the ball again. Still got penalized.
That’s dumb IMO.

That doesn't happen very often. Mark Russell did a good job of explaining why they did it.
