I play Sterling fairly frequently but try to stay away from Hounat for that reason.

I live 8 minutes from Houston National. I've lived here since 2019. I think I've played Houston National 3 times and never finished a round. I got sick of getting to tee boxes with the group in front of us waiting.

I should have just paid extra and checked out Longwood, I haven’t played there in years. Curious to see the current setup. I’ll never go back to Houston National.

I'm playing there Wednesday. I've played it a few times since the renovation. It's not bad. There's still some bad holes leftover from the 27 hole days, like #2. I do like the new holes that are the last 3-4 holes, though.

There was a Huge water moccasin that would hang out just short of the 18th par 5 green by the road in a hole.

My buddy almost stepped on him.

I don't know what that thing is eating but he is a monster.
