I'd be tempted to roll up with some hand-me-down clubs and see how far they let me get...

Hopefully, the pro Scott Stallings invites the wrong Scott Stallings to carry his bag for the Par 3 tourney or something.

Faux Scott Stallings is probably about to have a great Masters weekend. I'd imagine Augusta National will be inclined to host him as well for fixing their screw up.

I’d tell them that’s fine. I’ll be happy to play a couple rounds the week after or so if that’s alright

How does that even happen? Did the Masters folks have to Google this dude's address and hope it was the right one?

One thing Augusta isn't lacking

( They should at least give the guy some wknd tix and a parking pass...btw the one Scott Stallings is a realtor. We will see how good his negotiating skills are and what access he ends up with!)

At worst the PGA Tour Scott Stallings should have the realtor one on the bag for the Par 3 tourney

I wouldn't have said anything and just showed up to play...

And shoot a 108.

The Athletic has an article about this today. I was a bit disappointed reading this:

quote:

Instead, Scott will have to settle for a one-in-a-million opportunity, instead of one-in-a-billion. Stallings is giving his name-elgänger passes to Monday and Tuesday practice rounds at this year’s Masters and taking them to dinner in Augusta.

I don't know what kind of pull players have to get Thurs-Sun tickets, but I figured Faux Scott would at least get those.

They are permitted to buy (yes, buy) both practice and tournament round tickets and there is a strict limit on numbers. It used to be 4 practice round tix per day and either 2 or 4 badges for the tournament itself. Not sure what it is now.

Practice round is better IF you have never been there. You get to move more freely, take pictures(camera, not cell phone).

It’s a great deal.

One of my favorite places is the 9th green.

Watching players put from the right side of that green trying to putt at the Sunday pin is hilarious when one goes trundling down the hill.

You can tell when there’s a rookie cause they don’t have their caddy below the hole to catch it.

From a tweet I just read:

quote:

Turns out the invitation was sent to a now-defunct management company, and the Other Scott Stallings owns a condo adjacent to the building. Wild coincidence.

It really makes Augusta look lazy. He was last in the Masters in 2014. So, they sent it to that address that was used then. I'd be willing to bet that a majority of these guys don't use the same address as they did in 2014.

Don't remember the number of practice round tickets they are given but tournament rounds are 4 given from ANGC and they have the option to purchase 4 more. At least that was the situation in 2017.

Didn’t the guy with the original pimento cheese recipe offer to give it to them in exchange for a badge, and they said no? I honestly doubt they do anything for him.

The Green Jackets are passing on a huge opportunity to gain a PR boost. But in a tradition unlike any other the members are managing to fu*k it up beyond belief.
