But it’s rough to admit you allowed players to go play in Saudi Arabia earlier this year and then chastise them and ask them if they “ever had to apologize for playing on the pga tour.”
He gave them releases to play in Saudi Arabia like 6 months ago and now he's trying to bring up 9/11. What a joke

Jay does look tired. Obviously this is taking a huge emotional toll on him.

Is being anti-9/11 considered woke now?
Also, the fact that some of y’all can’t understand the difference between LIV and when the PGA tour plays in China is incredible.

Was that event sanctioned by the Asian Tour?

What about 6 months ago when he allowed them to play in Saudi Arabia?

Yeah it’s cringy. I’m not sure what else he could say. But it’s uncomfortable to watch. Pride?
Sure, Jay is bitter and cringy
LIV has the jilted psycho ex lover Norman and a Jihad leading it
You can’t on one hand scream “oh shut up about who runs LIV”, and then constantly use the leaders of the PGA tour as a reason to hate it……
Either don’t bring up who runs each league, or allow it to be fair game both ways

FWIW, I think Monahan was dumb to come on this broadcast.
It’s been a fun day on the PGA Tour (which isn’t all that common) and Monahan just sucked the energy out of the broadcast a little.

6 in a row for JT is pretty good. And he’s still 2 back.

Yes

I didn’t do that…at all. In fact, I kind of defended Monohan. I don’t know what else he could have said. That part that was weird….which I didn’t know until Nantz asked it was that he allowed players to play in Saudi Arabia 6 months ago. Today he wants to bring up 9/11. That’s cringy. Regardless of what Norman has said.

Exactly a perfect day to let your product sell itself, but instead he came on and many people probably changed the channel

Agreed. But he is F’d either way. If he doesn’t talk, guys like me would blast him for it. So he talks….and guys like me blast him for it. It’s some first world problems.

No clue. Nantz is the first time I’d heard of it. Good question.

I think it was sanctioned by the Asian Tour which the Saudis have heavily invested in, so probably.

The funniest Monahan moment has to be when he went on CNBC as the markets were plummeting due to the Coronavirus back in 2020.
Just an amazing scene.

I’m also a little salty right now from coming in 6th in my flight in the member member. You think LIV would give me a couple hundred grand to join? I’m willing to forego any future PGA status.

Haven’t seen that. Do I need to look it up?

For a golf weekend, PGA tour absolutely knocked it out the park this weekend
The rowdy Canadians and this top heavy leaderboard is awesome. But sadly it doesn’t matter, because none of this is actually about good golf
