It’s a quote from a tweet. Don’t necessarily agree with the bottom part but absolutely the top part. LIV Golf was never about creating a competitive golf league to rival the PGA Tour. It was a way for PIF to gain a seat at the table so they could ultimately get what they really wanted

So was Rory the mole? He got exactly what he wanted. Quotes from over a year ago. He wanted a unified entity backed by Saudi money, well….

I said the tour didn’t care about him, and even said the word UNFORTUNATELY, because I personally like him. His YouTube stuff is great. Never once did I make any personal dismissal about Wesley. And the best part is, he even reiterated himself the tour doesn’t care about him

You did dismiss his opinion because you said the tour doesn’t care what he thinks. That’s not really debatable. It’s in black and white.

All that matters. You don’t need another paragraph explaining yourself. You had your reasons. But now what his says is important to you because he changed is tune. We get it. Idk why you get in denial so much.

This is pretty rich coming from a journalist who had no idea what was going on behind the scenes in the first place. Kyle Porter is probably getting fed info from PGA sources who are trying to save face. The NLU guys were harping on the same thing about this being terrible for LIV, but they are similarly in bed with PGA sources.

Alan Shipnuck, who seems like he is the journalist most in tune with both sides, seems to think LIV will stick around. He thinks the Saudi's will want to expand it due to LIV being their baby.

And to be honest, no one knows what's going to happen. No one knew that a merger like this was happening. No one knows what the next steps are or who will come out on top. No one knows how regulators are going to treat this.

The PGA Tour has more seats on the table, but the funding is coming from the PIF. Those seats don't mean much if funding dries up. All we know is they are all in bed together at this point.
