I think the whole thing is overblown. Na was just explaining to him that he verbally has to concede the putt before DJ can just scoop it up.

Technically Na was right and did the right thing by giving it to him anyway. I just think he should have waited until after the round if he was not going to call the infraction.

Na was down in the match at the time. He could've technically took the hole but didn't, but he was in the right correcting him when he did to establish it. They had plenty of golf left to play, so who's to say DJ doesn't do it again next hole?

I’m not a Na fan, but this is way overblown. Asians tend to sound more serious than they really are. Really not a big deal. 99% of golfers would’ve done what Na did.

Na may have been technically right but to call DJ back onto the green to make a spectacle was uncalled for.

Agree. Weird bitch flex move by Na. Trying to get one over on a golfer 10x his ability level.
Yes Na is technically right. Yes DJ would have obviously made the tap in. I doubt most golfers would have done what Na did, because most pros consider that good. Somebody more secure about themselves, if they happened to care that much which I doubt, would just laugh it off later that “you know you got away with one”.

Can’t concede after the fact. Na can’t waive a rule either. If DJ picked up ball before it was conceded then that’s a penalty. Na can say I’m not going to enforce it.
After the round dj said he thought he heard Na say “that’s good” so rules officials left it at that. Not that the outcome made any difference in tournament.
