Leaving TM. TM also will not be at the PGA show this year. They seem to be cutting back on a ton of spending...

I read the title as Rose to Houma.

I would bet he continues to play taylormade woods. Similar to many of the Srixon staffers playing non-srixon (mostly tm) woods. Taylormade gets the best of both worlds, the publicity and tacit endorsement without having to pay him.

TM woods aren't exactly a cut above the rest anymore. He will stick with them for now but with no TM any anything he's playing with (hats, bag, etc). Like I mentioned in the OP, TM is cutting back on a ton of spending. He won't be the last one to let his contract expire.

They did get acquired by a private equity group. First thing they do is cut unnecessary spending or expenditures that aren't driving revenue.

IMO, I don't think Justin Rose at #1 or #1,000 in the WGR drives sales.
Agree with both of them on the move. I could see him having a similar issue to Rory's move to Nike. Will take a few years to get it just right. Thankfully he has already accumulated enough wealth/prestige to fend off some down years.

Wasn't the first thing they did was sign Rory? Tiger? They spent a ton of money on those two.

I could have the timeline wrong though.

He is going to continue to play TM woods and TM ball. He is close with the former TM Pres that appears to be spearheading Homna into the US; makes sense.

TM's has too many expensive top players currently, they needs to cut some fat. But Rose has been TM for 20 years.

You’re correct but Tiger and Rory move the needle, which was more of my point. JR doesn’t. I know guys that bought the TM mallet putter just because of tiger. Although TW & RM didn’t inspire me to move to TM, hasn’t stopped me from looking at a brand that previously wasn’t on my radar.

Wouldn't be surprised if he doesnt got full bag eventually. Generally, those smaller companies have superior production to our mass produced clubs over here.

When tiger first signed with TM it was a short term contract with payment based on. Number of tournaments he competed in. Wasn’t a huge multi year deal since no one knew if his body could return to golf
