Pretty fun and cheap. Great to bring the kids along too. I far ive played about 6 times and haven't even spent $50. Picked up a starter set at Academy and a couple more discs off of Amazon.

I play 3 times per week. Easily as fun as golf. Thankfully, we have a really nice set of courses here.

It's a more accessible game as it doesn't require much money to get a starter set and most courses are free, plus the average joe will not get his arse kicked by the game. It's a good time, but I mostly play for the social aspect. If it were up to me we'd be ball golfing every time.

Because, Lollipop, gays tend to be good at recognizing their kind.

There's a course down the street next to the neighborhood park. Have yet to see a player one. It's been there at least five years. Ft. Polk thought it would be a good idea to put a course within the golf course. Set it up to cross a few golf holes, wtf.

Guys from there regularly drive to Pineville to play Buhlow. They tell us never to play that course.

Disc soccer would suck. Disc golf is awesome.

Legit question from someone who knows nothing about disc golf... why the need for ALL the different discs?

It isn't like real golf where you have different launch angles for each club. Are they weighted differently? Do some turn right or left easier?

Some discs are made for distance while others are made for short/approach shots. Some discs have a left to right bias and others have the opposite. Different weights. Different materials that affect hardness (some putters are floppier to help keep it from bouncing off the chains or rolling away).
