I would say, offhand, that he has already done his talking through Golf Digest.

He wants to call out Peter Malnati for not having balls, yet he doesn't have the balls to show up with his peers. GTFO

Because the PGA makes exceptions to their bylaws. Tiger Woods keeps winning all this money from PIP and how many events did he play in last season, 5 maybe 6 events?

Are we pretending like Tiger Woods deserves less money?

He’s the reason any of these guys (LIV or PGA Tour) are making even close to what they are. No one should complain about more money going to Tiger.

We aren't pretending anything. The PGA is pretending that the PIP players must participate in a certain amount of events to qualify.

Yeah, he's only worth a billion and a half. I don't know how he keeps his power on.

I did not have you for a socialist, but if that’s the way you feel in politics, this makes a whole lot more sense.

I’m really just saying all these guys owe their millions of dollars to Tiger so I’m not sure they should complain about him getting more money when he was underpaid for his worth.

I don’t entirely disagree with some of Hahn’s statements here, but understandably he’s fighting for people like himself on Tour. I said last week I wish the designated events had 100-120 people. The events have been great this year. But also, the PGA Tour has to fight against LIV now. And if this is a way to prevent more top players from leaving for the Cleeks I get it.

And I'm still over here talking about the hypocrisy of the PGA. And if free agency is being a socialist, I'm in.

These arguments about the PIP are moot at this point. The PGA tour is reducing PIP and putting more emphasis on playing better.

I also just saw this quote from Hahn at some point in the past year:

quote:

“The secret meeting with Tiger and Rory set a precedent that the top 20 players can get whatever they want from the Tour. So, what’s stopping the other 90 percent of our tour from getting together and doing the same exact thing as Rory and Tiger and saying the top 20 players can go play their own tournaments but the rest of the Tour, us 90 percent all stand together and we want more benefits?”

Nothing. Organize it and find out. The first step would probably be to show up at the event where the future is discussed amongst your peers.

Oh my goodness. I hope that doesn't prevent Tiger from going for his 3rd PIP trophy in a row. After a while, it's just a tradition on the PGA.

Hahn is too petulant to realize he is in the minority.

that’s the attitude the tour should take when facing the LIV issues.

I have zero issue with tiger making all the money they offer for PIP. That’s a thing because of him. However, when some players are voicing their opinions, to dismiss them and tell them to go back to selling shoes….yikes. Lots of changes happening. It’s ok if someone isn’t lock step with the tour leadership. To be honest, Monohan hasn’t done much to instill confidence.

Play better. You can then get in to all of the elevated events, or maybe LIV will see value in you an make an offer.

Hahn is a commodity in the world of professional golf. He can be replaced by the next perosn.

I agree with this. There are a ton of talented players on KF and even Canadian tour and mini tours. Which makes me wonder why people are so mad about LIV. The fields dont get smaller on tour. It’s just more golf to watch.

The field in the PR open last week was embarrassing. I’m glad Akshay got an opportunity but at least 30 of those guys shouldn’t have been in the field.

Since when do we care about the field strength of opposite field events?

PR Open has historically been a stage for unknowns to claim their first win

The issue is that you get 60 year old guys who haven’t made a cut in 10 years in the field instead of the top of the KFT.

The guy who made a bunch of complaints, but did not show up to the player's meeting. The same guy that is +1 thru 15 today.
