He’s almost 2.5 and I told him we’d play golf together one day he got really excited and has been asking to play golf all week.

Is it too early? If not any advice on how to introduce the game to him or how to find a good teacher for a kid that young?

Yes. Way too early. Just show him how to hold the club and put down an aligniment stick to get his feet in the right spot and tell him to swing hard. That’s all you need at that age.

Get some whiffle balls and play in yard.

Have fun.

Get him putting around the green with his own putter.

Get him some of the plastic clubs and balls to hit round the yard. At that age, I think he may be worried more about getting to the potty before he has an accident. If he loves hitting the clubs, great. If he takes an interest in the game, maybe wait till 4 or 5? Main thing I found as a parent is pushing a child to play a game that don't want to play is counter productive. I hope it loves it and takes the game up.

USKids makes a good set for smaller kids. Just get him to choke up till he grows into them.

When our first grandson was around that age his father got him a set of plastic clubs and balls. He never missed the balls. Never. My wife who plays and I were amazed on how he whacked the balls all over the place and never missed. We were thinking a Tiger like player in the making. Well other sports got in the way, football and baseball, and golf took a back seat. I know he could of become a pretty good player had he given it more of a chance, but did well in other sports also.
