Had my best round yesterday at our local course. This is the day I've been dreading because now I cant stop thinking about the next time I get to go play! Chasing that next golf high might run me broke lol

I cant hit my driver to save my life but my irons (even from the tee) were pretty spot on!

I got the bug!

It’s ok.

“Reversion to the mean” is real.

I had my 2023 best yesterday.

It is what it is.

The best course of action would be take 2 weeks off then quit.

Why do you think that your driver has gone cold?

I've had 3 shitty rounds in a row last month and still have this feeling... Once you're hooked you're hooked

The worst is gonna be when you go back and you shoot way high. Happens to me all the time. Have a great round close to my PB then crash and burn lol

I've never been able to hit it. Ive tried buddies drivers and still cant. I honestly need to just got and get a private lesson. I am sure I am just doing something small incorrect.

Same here last 3 round, scoring sucked, but I pounded the driver. Wedges and scoring irons were crap. I went practice for 30 minutes yesterday. I KNOW for a FACT that Saturday I am going low.

I've had it for a while now but also have 3 kids. So, I basically play every other week. The week leading up to a round is spent thinking of the course and the week after is spent thinking of how the round went and where I can improve. I look forward to the day that I don't get sad on the 18th tee box knowing I have 2 weeks until I get to do it again.

That’s usually the round I blow up on.

It’s hard to do everything well.
You are hitting irons great. Club is moving down through the ball.

For some people, improving with driver can be as simple as placing the ball forward so the club is moving up before the strike.

The driver reaches it low point in the middle of your stance, the club is moving up at impact.

You are right! Long story short, get a PGA teaching professional to watch you hit some balls and help you find the feel/thought you need to swing a driver better.

Congrats on the great round.

I've got it worse.

I had a fantastic lesson this week and started hitting my driver better than I've ever hit it. But I don't have a tee time until Sunday.

I've been playing for 3 years next month. Shot an 86 about a year and a half ago and haven't broken 90 since then on a par 72 course- and i'm more often than not in the 100s. I've got a swing fault for sure- and its my irons that are just killing my game. I drive it well, chip well, hot or cold with the putter- but my irons are consistently terrible now. Fat shots and hosel rockets dominate the round with one or two, yes one or two flush shots. I've grown to hate this damn game

I've got a tee time sunday morning

Well Bengal, if ur irons are good, invest your time on driver lessons and a top of the line driver. You obviously love the game so make it happen. Just curious, what driver are you playing?

I was the complete opposite.. Couldn't hit driver to save my life.. 8 iron and down I was absolute money..
