Have you tried any of the MP's? (5/25/H5's)? I don't know much about your game but if you play/like the 765's I think you should be playing something more player iron vs game improvement.

I'm aware. I was hoping to get a combo MP18 SC/MCC set. And the JPX 900 tours are not game improvement at all. But those and the forged felt better to me than the MP18s, especially on even slight misses. And no, I haven't hit any of the older MP models out there.

I am surprised no one seems to think PXG might be a likely choice if endorsement money weren't a factor

I get that they are expensive for amatuers but for a pro, not so much.

I'd bet that more players would bag Wilson Staff irons if they didn't have to worry about sponsors.

The Wilson Staff FG Tour 100 is golf porn:

and the Wilson Staff V6 irons are getting rave reviews this year:

Dam! Those Wilson blades are pretty!

Unfortunately I got no better chance of hitting those consistently than I did in the first set of irons I ever bought new in 1977, Wison Staff Tour Blades 1-sw.

Back then there were no cavity backed perimeter weighted clubs

Had a sweet spot about the size of a dime.

I like the classic look of the Z765 over the JPX stuff anyway.

This is why I bought Srixon over Mizuno. Hit both the same.

I have not had the oppirtunity to hit the PXG irons but I would think that their policy of using the most effective materials and best manufacturing processes regardless of cost would yield a superior club.

Golf World did an anonymous survey with tour professionals a couple of weeks ago.

Mizuno - 36%
TaylorMade - 23%
Titleist - 21%
Callaway - 9%
Srixon - 7%
Other - 4%
