Today is day 121

Played Harpeth Hills in Nashville and scored a birdie on a par 4. Felt amazing. Played horrible otherwise. Iron game is the best. Putting is the worst. Off the tee needs a lot of work.

Shot 100 on day 90 and haven’t crossed that barrier, but today’s birdie was the best feeling.

Good for you.

You can break 100 by:

1. Keep it in play.
2. Understand where the putter face is pointed. Get a yardstick. Place a golf ball on each end. Knock the other ball off.
3. No more than 2 putts inside 20 fr
4. Learn one basic chip.
5. Learn a basic pitch.

Congratulations. I’d say you’re hooked, but you probably already were

Congratulations!! It's a great feeling!

Yesterday I birdied par 4 #7 then triple bogeyed par 3 #8 right after . The game of golf is weird.

Congrats !!!
Saturday I birdied the 18th at Gus Wortham GC in Houston for the 1st time, I had a good drive great wedge shot that left me about a 3 foot birdie putt, my knees were shaking…. I’ve probably played Gus 100 times lol.

Practice 5 foot putts and 10 yard chips. That will help

18th at Gus is not an easy birdie! Cover the ditch + uphill approach. Nice work

If putting is an issue, it's absolutely the thing that can be overcome the fastest in my opinion. Get a putting matt for the house and hit 100 every day. I'm also a "heads up" putting fan but I know that's a leap of faith for a lot of people. It's dropped me 2.3 putts per round.

Nice, congrats.

I know where I made my first birdie but cant remember the details, wish i could.

Played in a tournament Saturday and had 8 birdie putts inside 15ft, four inside 8ft and made none of them. Just ridiculous you can go one round and feel like the cup is the size of a basketball rim ad the next it feels like its smaller than a gold ball,

So off the tee and in between some trees.

Hero shot between said trees that I power through and hit the green.

40 foot putt to sink a birdie.

I can’t imagine I hit another putt like that in the next ten years.

The icing on the cake is that a grandfather figure for me in AA who used to be a scratch golfer wanted to watch us play the first few holes. He’s been really excited that I’m playing golf and he got to see it.
