How does LIV have the money to pay all these players guaranteed contracts

Surely they won’t make the money back by crowds at their events? Is this simply an F- you to the PGA because they can?

Its sportswashing by the Saudis, they aren't making their investment back in money, they are making it back in an "improved" imagine when people associate them with great athletic events. See world cup 2022 as another example.

Saudi Public Investment Fund. $600+ billion. They expect the fund to be worth north of 2 trillion dollars by 2030. Money is of no concern.

Saudis literally have a scroog mucduck golf coin pit.
This is a toy for them.
They could give zero fricks about a profit or if this is worth it fiscally.

Incorrect.
An initial investment of a couple billion can be made back on live sports pretty quickly. Look at the current media deal for the PGA Tour. Almost a billion a year.

Yea liv golf will cease to be a thing in a few years when these contracts have been paid still nobody is watching.
But yes they don’t care. Oil money runs deep

That’s for 50ish events a year with 4 days of coverage. Not sure what 8 events would pull in if they could get a tv deal. And if they add more events then that’s going completely against what all these guys are saying when they join about wanting to have more free time.

The only reason I even know it’s funded by the Saudis is because of the media obsession. They won’t shut up about it.

Yeah I mean it’s not important at all to hammer home the point so the public is aware that the clan that literally did 9/11 is single-handedly funding this golf tour with motives that are not aligned with the golf fan in any way.

You talking about people that will drive a 500k car and leave it in the desert
